How to Charge an RC Bait Boat
Learn the correct charging procedure for LYX series RC bait boat battery and remote controller. Follow these steps to ensure safe charging and maximize battery lifespan.
Before You Start
- LYX series RC bait boat (any model: 001A / 001B / 001C / 001D)
- Remote controller with batteries installed
- Battery charger (included in package)
- Clean, dry workspace near water
Step-by-Step Instructions
Locate the Charging Port
Find the charging port on your LYX series bait boat. It is typically located on the top deck near the battery compartment. Remove the protective rubber cover.
Connect the Charger
Plug the charger connector into the boat's charging port. Ensure the connection is firm and the polarity is correct. The charger LED should show red when charging begins.
Plug into Power Source
Connect the charger to a standard wall outlet (100-240V). The charger will automatically adjust to the correct voltage. Do not use third-party chargers unless approved.
Wait for Full Charge
Charging time is approximately 2-3 hours for a full charge. The charger LED will turn from red to green when the battery is fully charged. Do not disconnect before full charge.
Disconnect and Store
Unplug the charger from the wall first, then disconnect from the boat. Replace the protective rubber cover. Store the battery at room temperature if not using immediately.
Charge the Remote Controller
If your remote controller has a rechargeable battery, connect it to the USB charging cable. Full charge takes approximately 1-2 hours. The indicator light turns off when complete.
Common Mistakes
- Using a non-original charger that may have incorrect voltage output
- Leaving the battery charging overnight or for extended periods after full charge
- Charging immediately after use while the battery is still warm
- Storing the battery in extreme temperatures (below 0C or above 45C)
- Ignoring the charger LED indicator and assuming charge is complete
Safety & Maintenance Tips
- Always use the original charger provided with your LYX series bait boat
- Charge in a dry, well-ventilated area away from flammable materials
- Do not charge if the battery casing is damaged or swollen
- Disconnect the charger if you notice unusual heat, smell or sounds
- For long-term storage (over 1 month), charge to 50-60% capacity
