How to Pack Bait Boats for Shipping
Secure packaging guide for shipping LYX series RC bait boats. Foam protection, carton requirements and OEM packaging options for wholesale orders.
Before You Start
- LYX series RC bait boat (any model: 001A / 001B / 001C / 001D)
- Remote controller with batteries installed
- Battery charger (included in package)
- Clean, dry workspace near water
Step-by-Step Instructions
Remove Batteries
Remove the boat battery and remote controller batteries. Pack batteries separately in insulated bags to prevent short circuits during shipping.
Secure Moving Parts
Tape the propellers to prevent spinning during transit. Ensure the hopper lids are closed and secured. Remove the sonar arm (LYX-001C/D) and pack separately.
Wrap in Foam Protection
Place the boat in its original foam cradle. If the original foam is not available, wrap the boat in 2-3 layers of bubble wrap, paying extra attention to the propellers and antenna.
Place in Carton
Use a double-wall corrugated carton. Place foam-wrapped boat in the center. Fill all gaps with packing peanuts or crumpled paper to prevent movement during transit.
Add Accessories
Place the remote controller, charger, spare propellers and user manual in separate compartments. Ensure no metal parts touch each other or the battery terminals.
Seal and Label
Seal the carton with heavy-duty packing tape. Apply 'FRAGILE' and 'THIS SIDE UP' labels. Mark the package as containing lithium batteries if shipping by air.
Common Mistakes
- Shipping with batteries installed (risk of short circuit and fire)
- Using single-wall cartons that collapse under stacking pressure
- Not securing propellers, causing damage during transit
- Placing heavy items on top of the boat in the carton
- Forgetting to label lithium battery contents for air freight
